Balance Disorder Treatment
There are more than a dozen causes of dizziness and numerous reasons why you may experience balance problems.
Balance and dizziness disorders can be difficult to treat. Nonetheless, we have assisted numerous community members in coping with or recovering from conditions that cause balance disorders.
If you have a balance problem, your doctor will first determine whether another health condition or medication is to blame. If this is the case, your doctor will treat the condition, recommend a different medication, or, in many cases, refer you to one of our Rehab In Motion Physical Therapy balance disorder experts.

Education is a form of therapy
Understanding your diagnosis, the cause of the problem, and how to manage it is the most important part of treating a balance disorder. That is why we place a high value on patient education and care coordination with your referring physician.

Positional Vertigo

Positional Vertigo is a common cause of dizziness and balance problems.
If you suffer from BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo), our vestibular therapy specialists can perform a series of simple movements, such as the Epley maneuver, to help dislodge otoconia (calcium crystals) from the semicircular canal of the ear. In many cases, one session is sufficient; however, some people require the procedure several times to alleviate their dizziness.
